A triple suicide involving three sisters in Ghaziabad’s Modinagar area has left the entire neighbourhood in shock. During the police investigation, investigators made a startling discovery: the three girls were born to two different mothers. It also emerged that none of the sisters had attended school for the past two years.
According to details gathered by the police, the girls’ father, Rajiv Gupta, works for a private company in the locality. His first wife bore him three daughters aged approximately 12, 15 and 17 years. His second wife gave birth to another daughter, aged about 10. Family sources said the three older girls had not been to school for the past two years and their morale had been extremely low.
Police said the girls’ mother had not sent them to school and they had stayed indoors. Relatives revealed that the sisters were highly sensitive and would react sharply to even minor incidents. In addition, the father’s financial situation was reportedly strained, preventing him from providing better facilities for his daughters.
