Tiruchi city mein Panjapur mein existing sewage treatment plant (STP) ke paas water ke stagnation ki wajah se ek badi problem ho rahi hai. Iske karan yahan persistent foul smell aa rahi hai, jo public ko—khaskar integrated bus terminus par aane-wale commuters ko—pareshani mein daal rahi hai. Recent rains ke baad toh situation aur bhi kharab ho gayi hai. Ek commuter, Shiva, ne concern zyada kar diya hai, kyunki STP ke paas stagnant water ek pond jaisa ban gaya hai, jo thick weeds aur moss se dhaka hua hai. Yeh stench sirf inconvenience hi nahi, balki bus terminus ki image bhi kharab kar raha hai.
