RANIPET, MAY 23, 2026: A tahsildar’s official vehicle was completely gutted in a pre-dawn arson attack at the taluk office in Walajah, Ranipet district, early on Saturday. According to police, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. when security personnel noticed flames engulfing the SUV parked at the main entrance of the taluk office premises. They immediately alerted the Walajah police and firefighters from nearby Ranipet town.
By the time firefighters arrived and extinguished the blaze, the vehicle had been severely damaged. The charred remains of the SUV were later removed from the spot, and a formal police case has been registered in connection with the incident.
