According to a police press note issued on May 29, a team led by Police Sub-Inspector B.P. Santosh conducted a raid at a suspected location following credible intelligence. The operation led to the seizure of beef and various articles used for slaughter.
The three accused have been identified as K. Abdul Rafeeq, Adrama Manturu, and Abdul Khader Manimajalu. They have been charged under Sections 4, 7, and 12 of the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle (KPSC) Act, which prohibits unauthorized slaughter of cattle and regulates the trade and preservation of bovine animals. The police stated that no authorization had been granted for the slaughter operation.
