Power Cut Announced in Tirupur Today; Public Advised to be Cautious

Tamil Nadu's major industrial city, Tirupur, is expected to experience a power cut today (June 7, 2024), as announced by officials. According to the announcement made by the power distribution company, TANGEDCO, the power cut is expected to last from 10 am to 5 pm. Due to this power cut, factories, business establishments, and the daily activities of the general public may be affected, it has been reported. Specifically, emergency arrangements have been made to ensure that hospitals, schools, and key service providers receive uninterrupted power supply, TANGEDCO officials have stated. In the warning issued to the public, people have been advised to be cautious when using household electrical appliances during the power cut and to avoid operating unnecessary electrical devices. Additionally, the public has been advised to switch on electrical appliances one by one and check them after the power is restored. According to a report released by the Tirupur District Collector's office, this power cut has been scheduled for maintenance work and is expected to be completed before the scheduled time. Furthermore, the Collector's office has stated that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure public safety during the power cut.
