New Delhi, June 10 — In a disturbing incident, two 80-year-old women were found dead in their residence in Delhi’s Rohini area on Monday. The deceased, identified as Rekha Sharma and Usha Mehra, were sisters and had been living together in the two-storey house for several decades. Neighbours alerted the police after noticing no activity outside the home for nearly two days.
Upon receiving the information, a team from the Rohini police station broke open the door and discovered the bodies lying on the first floor. Preliminary reports suggest no signs of forced entry, raising concerns about the possibility of foul play. Authorities have recovered the bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Senior police officials have stated that while no suicide note was found, the circumstances are being treated as suspicious.
