Somangalam Police on Saturday night arrested two individuals for throwing a petrol bomb into a vacant house in Varadarajapuram, Tambaram. The incident occurred around 9:30 PM when two unidentified men arrived on a two-wheeler and hurled the incendiary device through an open door. The explosion caused damage to a wooden door and a cot inside the house.
According to Tambaram Police, the house belonged to a couple, Dinesh and Divya, who had recently vacated the rental property and relocated to Tambaram. Neighbors reported being alarmed by the sudden commotion. Based on eyewitness accounts and surveillance footage, Somangalam Police filed a case and launched a manhunt. They identified and arrested Charles, aged 24, and Rajkumar, 23, both residents of Varadarajapuram, on Sunday morning.
