Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party during a public event in Kushinagar on Monday. He stated that the state had faced 'jungle raj' during the previous governments, where people had to deal with issues like hunger, unemployment, and lack of facilities. The Chief Minister alleged that during that period, incidents of death due to hunger occurred in areas like Kushinagar, while the governments failed to address the difficulties of the common people. Yogi Adityanath said that during the previous governments' tenure, Kushinagar had neither electricity nor water, and the mafia had a strong hold. He claimed that his government not only eliminated the mafia but also gained control over disease-spreading factors like mosquitoes. He said, "The mafia brought unemployment, and mosquitoes brought disease. We have eliminated both." The Chief Minister stated that due to his government's efforts, the youth of Kushinagar are now getting opportunities in the jobs being created in the state. During the event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that Fazilnagar would be renamed 'Pawagadh'. He said that Fazilnagar would no longer be known by its current name but would be recognized as 'Pawagadh' in honor of Lord Mahavira's legacy. He said, "The name of Pawagadh, its tradition, and culture will now reach the entire country and the world, which will be connected to Lord Mahavira's legacy." Yogi Adityanath targeted the Samajwadi Party, saying that it is openly 'Ramdrohi' (opposed to Lord Ram). Reiterating his government's slogan, he said that his government had vowed that Ram would come and the temple would be built at the same site. He said that it is due to the efforts of the double-engine government that the picture of Uttar Pradesh has changed. The Chief Minister mentioned 'Tamkuhi Raj' and said that it was previously only a subject of mockery. However, now the local MLA and MP are working together under Tamkuhi Raj. He said, "The MLA and MP work together to turn your demands into ground reality." He stated that the area is being developed through various schemes.
