Significant changes in weather conditions are expected across several parts of Uttar Pradesh. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of rainfall in the western and central regions of the state before the end of May. Notably, signs of the onset of monsoon are emerging in Meghalaya and surrounding areas, which typically occurs in early June. However, this year, early indications of monsoon activity are expected to appear in the last week of May.
Light to moderate rainfall is likely in several districts of Uttar Pradesh from May 28 to May 31. This change will be more pronounced in parts of Meghalaya, Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan. Weather experts are interpreting this as pre-monsoon activity. Consequently, the state may witness a drop in summer temperatures.
According to the IMD’s weather forecast issued on May 27, if the monsoon begins in Meghalaya, it could spread to other parts of the state. This would lead to a significant reduction in summer temperatures across Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, humidity levels are expected to rise, prompting residents to prepare for fluctuating temperatures.
