A horrifying and brutal murder in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh has left the entire area in shock. In a shocking incident, 18-month-old Arv was murdered in front of his family and neighbours. The accused, Viraj alias Jitendra Pathak, allegedly killed the child by smashing him repeatedly on the road due to unrequited love and pressure to marry the boy’s mother. The victim’s family is in mourning and outrage, while the accused was arrested after being injured in an encounter with the police.
Arv’s mother, Rati, tearfully alleged that Viraj was in cahoots with her in-laws to kill her son. Rati revealed that she was married to Sunil of Badaun on February 18, 2024, but due to family disputes, she had been staying at her maternal home in Bamai village since January 2025. Rati claimed that her in-laws had repeatedly demanded that Arv be killed. Even her husband, Sunil, pressured her to conduct DNA tests, as he refused to accept Arv as his son. Rati stated that when she informed her husband about Arv’s death over the phone, he callously replied, “We were on the radar; since we couldn’t kill you, we killed Arv.”
