Punjab Kings’ star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has taken a bold step away from alcohol, calling it the “best decision” of his life. In a candid conversation with India women’s cricketer Harleen Deol on the *Kandid with Kings* podcast, Chahal opened up about his struggles with depression, his decision to quit drinking, and how his life has transformed since making the change.
Speaking in Hindi during the episode, which was released on the official Punjab Kings YouTube channel, Chahal reflected on the positive shift in his life after removing alcohol. “Usko apni life se hatane ke baad main keh raha hoon meri life totally change ho gayi hai,” he said. “Now I spend more time with my family and friends. Life mein kya chal raha hai, mujhe ab aur clearly pata hai — kaun mere saath hai aur kaun nahi hai.” He added that earlier, he used to overthink situations, but now he focuses on himself. His new routines include playing golf and go-karting — activities that have brought him joy and clarity.
