The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that the wind speed in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, has reached 16 kilometres per hour. At the same time, the weather department has also issued a rainfall alert for Varanasi and its surrounding areas.
Based on the IMD’s forecast, there is a possibility of rainfall in Varanasi and its adjoining regions over the next three days. The rain could occur at any time, day or night. Hence, local authorities and residents have been advised to take precautionary measures. The IMD has cautioned that waterlogging on roads is likely, and motorists should remain vigilant.
