She was 89 years old. Her death, attributed to age-related issues, was confirmed by close associates and family members, marking another major loss to India’s music fraternity just weeks after the passing of legendary singer Asha Bhosle.
Suman Kalyanpur breathed her last at her residence in Lokhandwala, Mumbai, around 8 pm. Mangala Khadilkar, author of the Marathi biography *Suman Sugandh* and a close friend, told PTI she passed away peacefully while listening to her own songs in her final days. Her daughter, Charu Agny, survives her.
