Chennai, June 2 — In a tragic incident that has shaken the city, an 18-year-old content creator was killed and her 17-year-old friend critically injured in a hit-and-run case near Koyambedu in the early hours of Sunday. The incident followed a quarrel inside a private bar in Koyambedu on Saturday night, where both victims were allegedly sexually harassed by a group of drunk youths. The Prohibition and Excise Department responded swiftly on Sunday night by temporarily suspending the bar’s licence and sealing the premises.
The deceased girl hailed from Villupuram district, while her critically injured friend, a resident of Ramapuram, has been admitted to the intensive care unit at the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital.
