Jaipur, Rajasthan – In a high-octane operation reminiscent of Bollywood thrillers, Rajasthan Police on Friday intercepted two individuals attempting to smuggle a large quantity of heroin and illegal firearms into the state. The dramatic takedown, which unfolded in the Bikaner district, led to the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of 5.5 kilograms of heroin along with three sophisticated firearms, including two pistols and a country-made revolver.
According to officials, the operation was conducted by a joint team of the Rajasthan Police and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The suspects, identified as 32-year-old Mohan Lal from Haryana and 28-year-old Rakesh Kumar from Punjab, were reportedly traveling in a luxury SUV when they were intercepted near the Indo-Pakistan border. Police sources revealed that the duo had planned to transport the contraband to Delhi, where it was to be distributed further.
