The White House is reportedly taking steps to install its official app on government-issued mobile devices used by federal employees across various executive branch agencies. According to internal communications, agency chief information officers have been instructed by federal CIO Greg Barbaccia to assess the feasibility of deploying the app on government-issued phones. In at least one agency, the automatic installation of the app is expected to begin next week, following directives attributed to the White House. The app, which was launched in March, aims to provide users with direct access to White House live streams, breaking news alerts, new policy initiatives, social media posts, and other administration content.
