The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle across several districts in the state. As part of this reshuffle, district magistrates and other officials from more than 10 districts, including Prayagraj, Kanpur and Varanasi, have been transferred. This decision by the state government is expected to bring significant changes to the administrative structure of key cities in the state.
In Prayagraj (Allahabad), Ms. Ranjana Prakash Rawat has been appointed as the new District Magistrate. She was previously serving as the DM of Bareilly. Vijayendra Singh Bist has been appointed as the new DM of Kanpur Nagar; he was previously the Additional Commissioner of Police in Gorakhpur. Suhas Lal has been posted as the new DM of Varanasi; he was previously the Additional District Magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida).
