GUWAHATI: A comprehensive analysis by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has revealed that nearly 87% of the winning candidates in the 2026 Assam Assembly elections secured over 50% of the total votes polled in their respective constituencies. Out of 126 winners, 110 — which accounts for 87% — crossed the 50% vote share threshold, while the remaining 16 winners (13%) won with less than half the votes cast.
