Political corridors in Tamil Nadu have once again buzzed with activity. Questions over the political future of K. Annamalai, the former state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), have drawn widespread attention. Recently, during a conversation with journalists at Chennai Airport, Annamalai hinted that he would address all questions regarding his political future within the next two days.
Earlier, in April 2025, Annamalai was removed from his position as BJP’s Tamil Nadu state president, and N. Nagendra was appointed as his successor. Reports suggested that this change followed differences between AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Annamalai.
