Chennai, India – The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) on Monday launched a scathing attack on the Indian National Congress (INC), accusing it of “backstabbing” and lacking “basic gratitude” after the grand old party extended support to actor-politician Vijay in Tamil Nadu’s political arena. Addressing a press conference in the state capital, Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and a prominent DMK leader, minced no words in condemning the Congress for its move.
“Those who call themselves leaders in the Congress have no sense of decency or gratitude,” Udhayanidhi Stalin said. He went on to describe Congress leaders as “backstabbers” and “leeches,” alleging that the party was trying to exploit Tamil Nadu’s political space by aligning with Vijay, who is set to launch his political party in the state. “The DMK should never trust the Congress again,” he declared, signaling a possible end to the long-standing political alliance between the two parties in the state.
