Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2026 Final Result Released, 19,838 Candidates Selected

The final result of the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2026 has been released. The Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment), or CSBC, had a record number of applicants participating in this recruitment process. Over 17 lakh youths from across the state had applied for this recruitment, out of which approximately 13.30 lakh candidates appeared for the written examination. Based on the written examination, about 99 thousand candidates were selected for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Later, around 79,932 candidates appeared for the physical test. Finally, based on the performance in all stages, 19,838 candidates have been selected. Among them, 16,852 candidates have been allocated to the district police and other units of the Bihar Police, while 2,986 candidates will be deployed in the Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP). The participation of female candidates has been notable in this recruitment, with 7,312 women being selected. Additionally, 17 transgenders have also been selected. Under special reservation, 332 home guards and 190 dependents of freedom fighters have been successful. The selected candidates include 12,509 men and 7,312 women. The CSBC has also released the category-wise cutoff marks, with 76 marks for male candidates of the general category and 72 marks for female candidates. The joining process for the selected candidates will begin on June 20, 2026, and will continue until July 19, 2026. Before joining, all candidates will undergo a medical test.
