In a significant initiative to empower women, the Telangana government is all set to celebrate Women's Week from May 25 to 31. As part of the celebrations, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the solar power plants established by women Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place on the first day of the celebrations, May 25.
Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) reviewed the arrangements for the Women's Week celebrations at a high-level meeting at the State Secretariat. The Minister directed officials to organise the celebrations on a grand scale across the State under the Praja Palana-Pragathi Pranalika programme. According to officials, a series of programmes has been planned for each day of the week.
