All three have died in the incident. A video from the scene, showing the father throwing the children and then jumping himself, has gone viral on social media.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred around 9 PM on Sunday night. A fire broke out in a residential flat in Dwarka Sector 19. Fire brigade teams reached the spot immediately after receiving the alert, but by then, the father had already thrown his children down. He first threw his 5- and 7-year-old children and then jumped himself. All three died.
Local residents say the father appeared distraught and took the extreme step to escape the flames.
