Speaking on the social media platform X, Congress general secretary in-charge of communications Jairam Ramesh charged that while negotiations between Washington and Tehran continue to address the escalating conflict in West Asia, India’s strategic interests—including the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and stabilisation of global oil prices—remain at risk.
