On Monday, a large group of farmers from the Dindigul district in Tamil Nadu gathered in front of the Dindigul Collectorate to stage a protest. The demonstration, which saw the participation of over 150 farmers, was organized by the Tamil Nadu Farmers' Protection Association. The farmers were demanding that the state government waive their cooperative crop loans, a promise that was made in the election manifesto. The protesters, mostly small and marginal farmers, submitted their petitions to Dindigul Collector S. Saravanan, urging the government to take immediate action.
