The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched a foreign exchange “violation” investigation against the Vedanta Group, a global mining conglomerate, and carried out searches at its premises across multiple locations. According to official sources, the raids were conducted on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, against the business house promoted by billionaire Anil Agarwal.
ED officials confirmed that premises in Delhi and Rajasthan were among the locations covered during the searches. They further stated that the investigation is being conducted under the civil provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
