Enforcement Directorate (ED) ne Vedanta Group—ek global mining conglomerate—ke khilaaf foreign exchange “violation” ki probe shuru kar di hai aur iske premises par multiple locations par raids bhi kiye hain. Official sources ke mutaabiq, ye raids 2 June 2026 ko hue the aur ye business house billionaire Anil Agarwal ke promote kiya hua hai.
ED ke officials ne confirm kiya hai ki Delhi aur Rajasthan ke premises bhi iske dauraan cover kiye gaye. Unhone ye bhi kaha hai ki ye probe Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) ke civil provisions ke tahat chal rahi hai. Agency ne alleged violations ya probe ke scope ke baare mein aur koi details nahi di hai.
Vedanta Group ke ek spokesperson ne is development par response diya hai, “Hum authorities ko poori cooperation de rahe hain aur jo bhi information maangi gayi hai, wo provide kar rahe hain. Company sabhi applicable laws aur regulations ke saath compliance karne ke liye commit hai. Chunki ye matter abhi regulatory process mein hai, isliye hum is stage par aur koi comment nahi kar sakte.”
