Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh – A tragic road mishap on Tuesday evening left four people dead after a pickup van returning from evening prayers collided head-on with a speeding tractor on the Shamli-Muzaffarnagar highway.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 6:30 PM near the village of Kakrauli. The pickup van, carrying six passengers, was heading back from a local mosque when it veered into the oncoming lane and struck a tractor moving at high speed. The force of the impact caused severe damage to the van, trapping several passengers inside.
Rescue teams from the local fire department and police arrived at the scene within minutes. Four individuals, including the van driver and three passengers, were declared dead on arrival at the nearby Community Health Centre in Kakrauli. Two other passengers sustained critical injuries and were rushed to the Muzaffarnagar District Hospital for emergency treatment.
