Gaya, Bihar – The lifeless body of a local vegetable trader was recovered late Wednesday night near a Mahadalit colony in Belaganj, Gaya district, sparking immediate suspicion of foul play. The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Ramesh Paswan, a resident of nearby Banarasi Tola, who ran a small vegetable stall in the market area.
According to preliminary reports, Paswan’s body was discovered by local residents near a makeshift electric pole at around 10:30 PM. The body bore visible burn marks on the hands and feet, leading police to suspect that he may have been electrocuted. Investigators have not ruled out the possibility of murder, as they are probing whether the electric supply was tampered with.
