The situation is worsening in Tikari, Gaya district, Bihar, due to intense heat and heatwave conditions. According to local sources, six students and one staff member from Kasturba Girls Higher Secondary School in Tikari, Gaya, were hospitalised after suffering from heatstroke. The incident came to light on Monday afternoon when several cases of heatstroke were reported among students at the school.
According to locals, the school was experiencing extreme heat during the afternoon, causing discomfort among the children. Six students developed symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, and vomiting. Additionally, a school staff member also suffered heat-induced fainting. All the affected individuals were immediately taken to a nearby primary health centre, where heatstroke was confirmed. They were then referred to the Sadar Hospital in Gaya in critical condition.
