Coimbatore, June 15, 2024 — The Tamil Nadu government has assured the public of maximum punishment for the accused in the brutal murder of a 10-year-old girl in Sulur, Coimbatore district. Speaking to reporters in Coimbatore on Saturday, Minister for Backward Classes Welfare V. Sampath Kumar stated that the police had acted swiftly after receiving information about the incident late Friday night. Two accused individuals have been arrested and remanded in judicial custody. The government has directed authorities to expedite the filing of the charge sheet as soon as the post-mortem report is obtained. Additionally, the state has committed to providing necessary relief to the victim’s family.
