The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday, May 25, 2026, announced that conditions are favorable for the southwest monsoon to advance further over the next two to three days. The Northern Limit of Monsoon currently passes through key coordinates including 7°N/60°E, 7°N/70°E, 7°N/75°E, 8°N/80°E, 10°N/85°E, 13.5°N/90°E, and 17°N/95°E. This progression is expected to bring the monsoon into additional parts of the southwest and southeast Arabian Sea, the Comorin area, parts of the Bay of Bengal, and the remaining areas of the Andaman Sea within the coming days.
