The Kochi City police have embarked on an ambitious mission to intensify their anti-narcotics operations, aligning with the state government's announcement of 'Operation Toofan: The Narco Hunt'. This statewide crackdown aims to dismantle drug networks and curb the spread of narcotics in the region. As part of this proposed drive, the city police plan to strengthen the existing District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF), which currently comprises four teams with around 25 personnel, including sub-inspectors and assistant sub-inspectors dedicated to anti-drug operations.
