Moradabad: Matrimonial Fraud! 10th-pass youth married 25-year-old woman by posing as AIIMS doctor, scam exposed after 18 days

A shocking case has surfaced in Moradabad district, Uttar Pradesh, where a young man used an online matrimonial website to pose as an MBBS doctor from AIIMS, Rishikesh, and married a 25-year-old woman. When the woman discovered the deception 18 days later, she alleged that her husband had not only kept her captive but also subjected her to rape. The woman has filed a complaint with the police, who have registered a case against the accused and 11 of his family members under charges including fraud, forgery, rape, and other serious sections. The police are now conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.

The incident began when the victim uploaded her biodata on an online matrimonial website. It was then that the accused, a resident of Fatehganj East in Bareilly district, contacted her, claiming to be an MBBS doctor from AIIMS, Rishikesh. The accused even showed her a fake medical degree to gain her trust. When the victim’s father went to Rishikesh to verify the truth, the accused welcomed him wearing a white coat and a doctor’s nameplate. Moreover, when the girl’s family visited the accused’s home in Bareilly, he and his relatives further misled them by displaying various fake medical degrees.
