Hyderabad: The Narsingi police have arrested a 32-year-old private employee from Alkapur Township for allegedly driving his car at over 200 kilometres per hour on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and uploading a video of the stunt on social media. The accused has been identified as Kothapally Yashwanth Reddy, who purchased the sedan in April 2026.
According to the police, a formal complaint was registered on May 19, 2026, by road patrolling officer Karingula Sairam. The officer reported that an unidentified individual was seen driving a sedan bearing a temporary registration number at an extremely high speed between the Narsingi toll plaza and the TGPA toll plaza on the ORR around 10:30 a.m. on May 10, 2026. The vehicle was reportedly being driven in a rash and negligent manner, reaching speeds exceeding 200 kmph, thereby endangering other motorists and toll plaza staff.
