Sirumugai police ne ek 36 saal ke aadmi, M. Logesh ko, ₹500 aur ₹200 ke counterfeit currency notes rakhne ke accusation mein arrest kiya hai. Police sources ke according, Logesh, jo Erode district ke Sathyamangalam ke paas K.N. Palayam road par rehta tha, arrest ke waqt Sirumugai mein apni mausi ke ghar par tha.
Ye case tab sabit hua jab Logesh ki mausi ne ek local doodh wale ko counterfeit ₹500 ka note payment ke liye diya. Doodh wala jab us note ko aur genuine notes ke saath bank ke cash deposit machine mein jama karne gaye, toh machine ne note ko fake detect karke reject kar diya. Uske baad doodh wale ne Sirumugai police ko is baat ki report ki. Police ne investigation shuru ki aur counterfeit note ko trace karke Logesh ki mausi tak pahunch gaye, jo unaware thi ki note fake hai.
