Hyderabad, May 24, 2026: The Medchal police have arrested a 28-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly attempting to establish links with a Pakistan-based ISI-backed gang and procure weapons through their associates. The accused, identified as Jayeed Khan, a resident of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, was working at the Mubarak Hotel in Medchal at the time of his arrest.
According to the police, Khan had shown a strong interest in associating with organized criminal networks linked to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and their associates. Investigators stated that he remained in constant contact with individuals through Instagram, despite being aware of the anti-national nature of their activities. The police seized a mobile phone belonging to the accused during the investigation. Officials revealed that the device contained Instagram reels, WhatsApp chats, voice call records, and screenshots, all of which are being examined as part of the probe.
