New Delhi, 22 February 2024 – The Election Commission has reviewed its preparations for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar held a crucial review meeting on Thursday at the Election Commission headquarters in New Delhi with the central observers deployed for the state. The meeting covered various aspects of the election process, including arrangements at polling stations, security management, voter awareness campaigns, and administrative preparations.
During the meeting, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar emphasised ensuring the fairness and transparency of the election process. He stated that the Election Commission would not tolerate any irregularities and would ensure the deployment of election officials at all polling stations. Additionally, comprehensive campaigns have been planned to raise voter awareness to achieve the highest possible voter turnout.
