Muzaffarpur district in Bihar has emerged as the top performer in the INSPIRE Awards – MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge) 2025, setting a new benchmark with 215 student-led innovations. The announcement was made by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, highlighting Muzaffarpur’s leadership in fostering creativity and scientific temper among young minds.
The INSPIRE Awards scheme, a flagship initiative under the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) program, aims to motivate students aged 10 to 15 to develop original ideas that address local and national challenges. This year, Muzaffarpur’s students submitted a total of 215 projects, the highest from any district nationwide, surpassing previous records. These innovations range from low-cost agricultural tools and water purification systems to digital learning aids and eco-friendly products.
