In a stern message to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Karnataka unit, party national president Nitin Nabin emphasized the need for the state unit to learn from the outcome of the Tamil Nadu elections. During his maiden visit to the state on Sunday, Nabin asked leaders to desist from being complacent, citing the example of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) failing to win in Tamil Nadu despite the anti-incumbency faced by the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). The national president's visit to the state included a stop at the Kadu Malleshwara temple in Bengaluru, where he was accompanied by state president B.Y. Vijayendra and other prominent leaders.
