CBI arrests two more accused in NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case, including a doctor and a faculty member

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two more individuals in connection with the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. Among those detained are Dr. Manoj Shirure, a physician from Latur, and Tejas Harshadkumar Shah, a faculty member from Pune. According to the CBI, Dr. Shirure played a key role in providing leaked chemistry papers to three students, one of whom is reportedly the son of a coaching academy operator. The investigation has revealed that the leaked papers were obtained from accused P.V. Kulkarni.
The second arrested accused, Tejas Shah, works as a physics faculty member at the Dr. Abhang Prabhu Medical Academy (APMA) in Pune. The CBI has alleged that Shah received the leaked NEET-UG 2026 physics question paper from accused Manisha Hawaldar. Following this, Manisha Hawaldar was sent to six days of CBI custody by the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi. She will remain in judicial custody until May 30. The CBI had sought her custody to confront her with co-accused individuals and identify others involved in the case.
