Trichy, May 25: The Anna Science Centre-Planetarium in Tiruchi has inaugurated a new immersive astronomy show titled “Deep Sky,” designed to engage the general public and students with the wonders of the cosmos. The programme marks the latest addition to the planetarium’s roster of educational and recreational offerings, aimed at enhancing scientific awareness through visual storytelling.
According to an official press release, the centre will host six daily screenings of the show at fixed intervals: 10:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 4:45 p.m. This schedule ensures accessibility for school groups, college students, and families visiting during both morning and afternoon hours.
In a move to cater to diverse linguistic preferences, four shows per day will be presented in Tamil, while two will be conducted in English. This bilingual approach supports inclusivity and encourages wider participation from the local community and visitors from across the state.
