The multi-department team checked buses from 80 schools on the premises of a private school campus in Kallakurichi, applying strict compliance checks under the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles (Regulation and Control of School Buses) Special Rules, 2012.
Collector Prasanth personally supervised the safety audit, which covered critical safety equipment and operational standards. Inspectors verified the presence of fire extinguishers, first-aid boxes, emergency exits, and speed governors on every vehicle. They also ensured that each bus had a trained attendant on board to assist children during boarding and alighting.
