The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has officially submitted a bid to host the Asian Games in 2038, with Ahmedabad, Gujarat, proposed as the main venue. If successful, this would mark the third time India hosts the Asian Games, having previously done so in 1951 (Delhi) and 1982 (New Delhi).
IOA officials stated that the proposal includes other cities across the country to promote sports culture nationwide. While the official names of these cities have not yet been announced, major metropolises such as Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata are expected to be included in the hosting plans. The bid emphasizes the development of sports infrastructure, including modern stadiums, athlete villages, and improved transportation facilities.
