A 57-year-old shepherd was killed after a makeshift shed collapsed on him during a sudden spell of unseasonal rain accompanied by strong winds in Gollapalli village, located in Odela mandal of Peddapalli district, Telangana, on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as Lakshmaiah, a resident of the same village. According to local sources, the incident occurred late on Monday evening when a portion of the shed gave way under the force of strong gales, crushing Lakshmaiah beneath the debris.
The sudden and unseasonal weather change caught many residents off guard, as gusty winds lashed through Gollapalli and surrounding areas.
