Patna: A tragic boat mishap occurred in the Ganga river in Patna, Bihar, on Thursday evening. So far, two bodies have been recovered, while five people remain missing. Local authorities and rescue teams are continuing their search efforts to locate the missing individuals.
According to official information, the incident took place around 5:30 PM near Gandhi Ghat in Patna. A tourist boat capsized in the strong currents of the Ganga river. Locals and police were engaged in efforts to rescue those on board. District Magistrate Sandeep Kumar stated that two bodies were recovered during the intense search operation conducted late into the night, while five people are still missing.
A local police officer told the media that out of the nine people who were on the boat, only two have been accounted for, while the remaining seven include two injured individuals. The other five are still missing, and efforts are underway to locate them. The condition of the injured is reported to be serious, and they have been taken to a nearby hospital.
