####What is the PM-Kisan Scheme? The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was launched by the Government of India in 2019. The primary objective of this scheme is to strengthen the financial position of small and marginal farmers. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year, disbursed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months directly into their bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This amount can be used by farmers for purchasing seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural necessities.
