A shocking incident has come to light in the Bahorapur area of Gwalior district, Madhya Pradesh, where a young man attempted suicide by consuming poison. The incident occurred when the man was alone at home and ingested a toxic substance. He then recorded three videos detailing his ordeal and shared them on the housing society’s official WhatsApp group. Neighbours acted swiftly, rushing the man to the hospital and saving his life. Police have confirmed that the man’s condition is now stable, and he is receiving treatment. In his videos, the man levelled serious allegations against his wife and mother-in-law, blaming them for his distress. He claimed his wife has expensive hobbies and frequently talks to other men late at night. When he objected, she allegedly hired goons and started threatening him. He also accused his mother-in-law of abusive behaviour. The man stated that his wife and mother-in-law conspired to separate him from his innocent son, pushing him into deep depression due to the grief of being away from the child and constant death threats. Police have said that once the man fully recovers, a detailed statement will be recorded, and further legal action will be taken based on it. Bahorapur police station in-charge Alok Parihar said that the neighbours’ quick thinking and prompt action ensured the man was hospitalised in time, saving his life. Police are now meticulously investigating all the angles the man highlighted in his videos. The case pertains to Venkat Sharma, a resident of Flat 501, 5th floor, Block L-5, Phase-1, Manpur, Gwalior, who works at a private company. In his videos, Venkat named eight people as responsible for his plight, including his wife Ritu Sharma, mother-in-law Geeta Sharma, brother-in-law Anubhav Sharma, and others. Police have acknowledged that the neighbours played a crucial role in saving the man’s life, and their timely intervention ensured he received medical help. The case presents a major challenge for the Gwalior police, who must now investigate the man’s claims and take action against those responsible.
