In Patna, criminals shot and killed a shopkeeper during a sudden power outage on Monday night, police sources said.
The victim was killed while working at his shop on Bodh Gaya Road in Patna when the attackers arrived on a bike, fired shots, and fled.
According to police officials, the incident occurred around 9:30 PM on Monday during the power cut. The deceased belonged to the jurisdiction of the Sadar Police Station in Patna district. Police have initiated an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and questioning witnesses. Preliminary findings suggest the attackers arrived on a bike, fired shots, and escaped.
Patna Police Commissioner Ravindra Prakash Yadav, speaking at a press conference, said, “Since CCTV cameras are installed at a considerable distance from the crime scene, they may help identify the culprits. We are conducting a swift investigation and taking all possible steps to arrest the accused.”
