New Delhi, May 24, 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its political attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of conspiring with foreign forces to destabilise the Narendra Modi-led central government. BJP national spokesperson and MP Sambit Patra alleged that Gandhi is deliberately attempting to create “anarchy” in the country in order to force the government out of power within a year.
In a strongly worded video message released on Sunday, Patra cited recent remarks made by Gandhi at a meeting of the advisory council of the Congress’ Minority Department on May 19, 2026, where he reportedly stated that the Modi government would fall within a year. Patra claimed that Gandhi repeated this claim during another meeting on May 23, 2026. “Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has once again shown audacity. At a meeting yesterday, he said the Modi Government will fall within a year,” Patra stated in the video. “Rahul Gandhi is trying to dislodge the government by inciting riots and through anarchy.”
